Albatross18: Realms of Pangya

Now, I wonder if there's someone from AF that plays this game ...

For those that don't know what it is about:

PangYa (Korean: 팡야, lit. "Bang!"), is an online multiplayer casual golf simulation game designed by a Korean development company, Ntreev Soft and published by Korean online game publisher HanbitSoft. The full game is free to download, however certain special items for the game (such as clothes for characters, new equipment and new playable characters) can only be purchased with real money.

PangYa's gameplay is designed similar to most other golf games. The power and accuracy of a shot are determined by a meter located at the bottom of the screen, using the "three-click method": one click to activate the meter's bar, one click to set power, and one click to set accuracy. Clicking is either done by moving the mouse pointer over the bar and clicking, or simply pressing the space bar.

Should the player hit the ball with perfect (or almost-perfect) accuracy, the shot is called a "PangYa". Missing a Pangya will result in a loss of power, and either a 'hook' (where the ball angles to the left from the intended trajectory) or a 'slice' (where the ball angles to the right from the intended trajectory).

The similarity of PangYa with other online golf games end here. The game's graphics look more like that of a Japanese anime than real golf, and many features are derived of creative imaginations rather than realism. For example, players use golf clubs that resemble household products or baseball bats, courses such as Silvia Cannon and WizWiz are set in fantasy realms, and certain special shots that do the physically impossible can be performed.

lol, Wizzy, yanno I play hun. XDDDDD It's a good game to play, calms me down sometimes, since its a relaxing game. XD Gotta go practice more tho, kind of suck at LPs (Long Putts) >_>; I blame the hills for that. Also Wizzy, dont touch my bunkers! Those, are mine. <3 lol
Anyways, yea it took ages to dl the game..X_X; was worth it tho. Thanks for letting me dl it through FTP. @_@; kept dcing on me..
And as for the guild thing there, hope we have a lot of members. I remembered that in my old guild (DarkAges) the requirements were 50 members to start a guild. X_X; hope they arent as strict as that. XP

Ok, so I downloaded it, installed and had a quick mess around with it. It's a nice game to play to kill boredom I thought, something to do in my spare time. Not much customization and variety with characters, I'm used to using a character create screen and seeing new models or face, hairstyles, which it lacks. The shop does provide a little of that but not so much. Interface is simple and cute I think lol. Game is easy to play but harder to master and need to work on my putting skills.

I also only found out that the Kasumi | Dead or Alive character is only available for the future upcomming Pangya title for the Nintendo Wii, which as a Dead or Alive fan and huge Kasumi lover was a disapointment T.T

I've had the install file on my computer for a while, but I've never gotten around to actually setting it up and playing it. I'm not very big on gaming, so I am reluctant to start playing any game.

Because of this thread, I installed the game and started playing it. I must say, it is very fun. I reached Rookie E level, and am still trying to understand a few things, but I like it. My only complaint is that I don't want to pay money to get these "cookies", just so I can have better stuff...

The one I play has only three servers, and not too many people. No different realms, or anything like that. I might have the Korean version in english.

Or you could send a link to them from Albatross18.com, and get 200 pang added to your account for each hour someone you invited to play plays.

Anyway, I finally got to play with some people on AF. I played with MsA and Mista last night (and won, dispite my Rookie status xP).

I am thinking about putting $20 down on some cookies, but I am still undecided.
