Firstly, this topic is already made, so I'm reporting your post. I'm sorry. =/

But I didn't come to say that. I came to say one thing. There is currently no remake underway. What they showed for the PS3 was simply a tech demo to show the power of the PS3 (and how great games will look). A lot of people want it to happen, but it's currently not happening. Sorry.

Yeah this is about 4 or 5 months old now, and as everyone said it isn't in the works (and I hope it never is).

A: It would take 500 programmers 3 years to complete, or something like that
B: With all the rumored backwards compatibility, who needs a remake?

I think you have it backwards I thought it was 300 programmers and 5 years, which sounds like complete bullshit as well. But ask one of the final fantasy fan boys (mista cloud strife for example) and they will valiantly defend it. Everything else you said is pretty spot on though.

It's the same video, I saw that x-play ages ago. They even said it was a tech demo and that this is what the game might look like. At no point did they say the game was being made. But peoplel will think what they want even when the facts say different.
