Yella wu-naru, an daru ? BTW that means, how are you, everyone? I would like to know how many languages do you guys know and speak . Let me start off and mention the languages that I speak. The following are the respective languages that I speak: Sanskrit, Telugu (mother tongue, it is well know as the Italian of the East), English (of course), Spanish (had two years in high school), and a little bit of Japanese that I picked up from my best friend from Madurai (Haruki). Having said that, I would love to hear from you guys about the languages that you speak of . If you speak a language other than English, please post some simple words that everyone can learn, like greetings. so, here are a few words and their meanings in the language that I speak:
1) -garu, -sami, sri- are prefixes and suffixes that mean respected, sir, madam, etc.
2) Danya vada mu means thank you.
3) Yo, orrai, and rai means hey you or man (usually younger generation use these words) and they depend on the context you speak.
4) sir-ri means ok or fine.
5) emo means I don't know.
I thought this will be both fun and informative discussion. So, I hope you enjoy it. Here anyone can ask other about how they say certain words in their language.
