Well, as the wonderful Ms Aeris closed the last thread, I'm starting the new one ahead of the quarters on Friday.
I'm very much looking forward to the match between Germany and Argentina. I think it should be an exciting event. As much as I don't wish to say it, I'm going to cheer for Germany as they've been playing beyond expectations. Besides I can't help wanting the host country to make it all the way to the finals.

Hmm? yeah I wouldn't be suprised if Germany and Brazil ended up in the finals.

Well that game was interesting. I thought Argentina was gonna win until BAM! I think them losing their goalie was a big hit, especially when the penalty shots came.

The hosts usually last a while.. The USA is where the 1994 world cup was hosted we lasted till the quarter finals which is the round we are in.

I love watching the predictions of people, whether it be fans before a match or fighters before a fight, declare how something will go down and the exact opposite happen.

Looks like Germany is just a little bit more of a powerhouse. And I do think it was the goalie issue, the third kick for Germany showed that. The goalie just sort of ... fell.. to the side. Me and the Lt. watching it looked at eachother and had the exact same thought run through our heads

Hmm well Argentina and Germany was close, But it took me awhile to find out the score of the second half because I went camping, so I missed the penilties, but I have been informed :P

Argentina is a better team.. They lost their goaly and lost the shootout but that does not mean they are not better. Germany got lucky because penalty kicks are always luck.

ahh right always luck is it, I think its more to do with out witting the keeper, confidence, and looking posative and focused.
